The Health Research Council has engaged external assistance to address a cyber security incident affecting the organisation’s IT environment. An ongoing response and investigation is underway. We are unable to provide any further information while this work takes place. We are taking measures to ensure the information held in our systems is as secure as possible, and we are grateful for your patience and understanding.
Update - 27 January 2021:
As previously advised, the Health Research Council is working with cyber security experts to fully understand how our systems were compromised by a cyber security incident, and to ensure our information systems benefit from the learnings of this investigation.
Based on the best information we currently have available, we will be able to use the information from our back-up system to resolve any impact of this incident on our IT environment. While an ongoing response and investigation is underway, our focus is on maintaining our usual operations. We will continue to work closely with all our stakeholders to minimise the impacts of any possible disruption.
