We have funding opportunities available throughout the year in the following focus areas.
People-focused funding: The HRC invests in developing excellent health researchers. We offer a range of career development opportunities designed to support emerging researchers through to research champions.
Ideas funding: This funding supports research that is excellent, innovative and impactful. These research ideas are initiated by lead investigators and align with the broader ‘health research attributes’ outlined in the New Zealand Health Research Prioritisation Framework.
Priorities funding: With targeted investment, the HRC initiates research into priority health issues, gaps and opportunities. These opportunities are identified by the HRC and often addressed in partnership with stakeholders and communities.
