Secondary data analysis using Youth2000 survey series, a national survey of the health and wellbeing of secondary school students aged 12 to 18, to identify how (1) whanaungatanga may act as a protective factor for rangatahi (2) whether whanaungatanga acts to influence health outcomes, health literacy, and access to services, and (3) how these outcomes may be driven by whanaungatanga with whānau (family), friends or other adults.
