Lay summary
Compared to the broader population in Aotearoa New Zealand, food insecurity disproportionately affects Māori households and Māori infants. The revitalisation of traditional kai and the return of traditional kai resources has the potential to enhance food security for Māori. This hapū-led project aims to explore how kai sovereignty influences food insecurity, and connections to kai, our whānau and our whenua.
