Lay summary
The primary aim of this research project is to develop a novel blood anomaly detection solution for the rheumatology department, which promises to streamline the workload for the clinicians and reduce the pressure on the rheumatology department. By conducting a systematic literature review, this research will first comprehensively establish the significance and potential impact of this innovative approach. Building upon the findings, the first iteration of the advanced algorithm will be created, leveraging state-of-the-art shallow learning techniques. Our efforts will be centered at Te Whatu Ora – Waikato District. This study holds immense importance as it seeks to address critical health challenges in a novel way. By successfully implementing this solution, we anticipate significant improvements in early abnormality detection, ultimately leading to enhanced patient care and overall efficiency of the procedures.
