Lay summary
This research activation activity is aimed at enhancing knowledge and skills of Registered nurses ((RNs) both prescribers and non-prescribers) as antimicrobial stewards with the goal of strengthening their leadership role and capability to engage and participate in antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) activities. We believe that through improved understanding of the issues, the educational and continuing education needs of Registered nurses can be identified. The specific aims of this study are to explore Registered nurses’ views on how they engage and participate in AMS activities and to determine gaps in knowledge and skills that enhances leadership and management skills in promoting AMS activities.
