This application is to upskill Marie-Claire in qualitative research to build her confidence in being an equal member of the two research teams that she is involved with. Specifically, Marie-Claire has worked as a research assistant and Māori research advisor for two teams, located at the University of Auckland and at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). She is a highly valued member of both teams but has indicated a desire to build knowledge and confidence in qualitative methodologies so that she is able to better contribute, have more confidence in her contribution, and feel more confidence in her voice which she uses to advocate for Māori.
