The purpose of this research is to assess the experiences of Māori patients enrolled at Mataora, a new Very Low Cost Access (VLCA) Māori health provider in South Dunedin. The data will be gathered by way of semi-structured interviews asking about topics such as; opinion/experiences of health system, experience at Mataora, enablers to access of primary health care, barriers to access primary health care. This qualitative data will be thematically analysed and interpreted in order to provide recommendations to Mataora and other primary health care facilities regarding how to improve their service to be more accessible for Māori.
