The purpose of this proposal is to fund the collaboration efforts of researchers from two New Zealand Universities (The University of Auckland and University of Otago) to collaborate with a research team from the University of Colorado (USA) led by Professor Richard Johnson. The area of focus will be on sugar reduction to reduce childhood obesity. The New Zealand research team have strong affiliation to and background of Maori and Pacific communities in New Zealand.
