Lay summary
This research seeks to explore and identify factors which impact on the health, wellbeing and success of Pacific students enrolled in university. The overall aim is to develop a better understanding about how to best support Pacific students to achieve their goals and aspirations. Participants are Pacific students enrolled in the first year of health sciences at the University of Otago in 2015 and 2016. A mixed methods research approach will be used (quantitative and qualitative) and appropriate methods for analysis will be utilised. Results will be disseminated to all key stakeholders in a format appropriate for their context. This will include also participants who wish to be informed of the results.
