Our objectives for the development grant will better align current work programs that exist in the research, diagnostic, and treatment space by “Advancing Māori health through building research capacity and capability and advancing Māori health through excellent research”. The grant will enable a leadership team of Maori women BC advocates and skilled researchers to develop pathways as investment in people and systems for innovation and impact through excellent research and community participation. Using kaupapa Maori principles and frameworks as the foundation of this initiative, our team will create strategic partnerships across the sector and enhance the wellbeing of Maori women and help to address inequities in BC outcomes.
