Lay summary
The proposed research topic is how cultural safety is implemented in practice inside nursing education. The summer internship will focus on conducting a systematic review of the literature where cultural safety has been implemented in areas beyond nursing education, for example, medical education, midwifery, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy and social work. The student, Jael Reiri, will conduct the review with the support of Associate Professor Dianne Wepa from AUT. The results of the review will support Jael’s application to become a PhD student with AUT and refine her research topic further.
