Lay summary
This knowledge translation grant will be used to disseminate the key findings and recommendations from my PhD study which explored Tongan male perceptions and experiences of gambling and problem gambling in New Zealand to Tongan families, community and cultural groups, including Pacific mental health and addiction service providers. This was an important recommendation for dissemination in my PhD thesis. The impact of this grant will reduce gambling harm behaviours, which often stem from other social issues such as excessive alcohol consumption and drug use and abuse for the Tongan and wider Pacific community.
