Lay summary
This study explores whether using covid tracing apps/QR codes depends upon Pacific young people understanding what data protection involves and if their beliefs impact upon behaviour. This will inform how we can direct more tailored strategies to Pacific young people to improve message framing and communication. This studentship contributes to ethical issues arising from health strategies and challenges ensuring equity in health within Aotearoa NZ.
