Lay summary
This research activity will improve access to resources and support for rangatahi with concussion, their whānau, and communities. Our research pipeline is dedicated to enhancing health literacy and bolstering access to concussion management support and resources. As part of an ongoing research initiative which establishes a comprehensive concussion management framework for rangatahi and ultimately contributes to improved recovery, health, and overall wellbeing outcomes. The next phase of creating and disseminating web-based resources is contingent upon insights from patients, whānau, educators, and clinicians. These perspectives are pivotal in maximising accessibility for rangatahi across the entirety of Aotearoa, New Zealand (NZ). This activation activity will build on the work conducted in the FRAmework for maNaging Concussions in secondary Schools (FRANCS) study, formalising an online resource that will be meaningful and accessible for rangatahi, whānau, and community across NZ, seeking input from wider ethnocultural perspectives. Such resource will prepare for future translational research.
