Asian and migrant families constitute nearly 25% of New Zealand's population, yet their healthcare needs are often unmet or ineffectively addressed due to lesser-known challenges and barriers. This research aims to understand and identify the needs and barriers that migrant women face in accessing equitable healthcare. Through qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews and discussions, along with a thorough literature review, the study aims to identify gaps, opportunities, and best practices to meet diverse needs and mitigate challenges. It aims to develop trustful and collaborative relationships with community providers and leaders to ensure diverse perspectives are included. The findings will provide evidence-based recommendations for evidence-based services and policy changes, ensuring the healthcare system becomes more inclusive and accessible for Asian migrant populations.
