Lay summary
Cellular therapies including chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapies are becoming the standard of care globally for the treatment of various cancers. Unfortunately, access to these novel therapies for New Zealand's tamariki and rangatahi has been poor with many patients having to travel overseas to receive these treatments. The primary aim of this work will be to improve local access to these therapies and to improve the development of local therapies for tamariki and rangatahi with difficult to treat disease. To achieve this, we will work to build partnerships and engagements with various clinical, cultural and research stakeholders in the New Zealand sector.
