Imagine being told that in five years, you might lose your independence due to a progressive neurological condition (e.g. Multiple Sclerosis MS). Longer-term, enhanced wellbeing and rehabilitation can be achieved using vivid visualisation to ‘experience’ and vicariously benefit from activities that may not currently be possible. Vividly imagining yourself performing an activity you once enjoyed (e.g., reading to a child) can be difficult. Tools to support visualisation (e.g. virtual reality) have proven effective in other populations (e.g. stroke, athletes), but are complex, costly, and not accessible to everyone. This activation activity will build relationships with stakeholders and adults with MS to establish an evidence-base of existing visualisation tools, and design and test a simple, low-cost, and accessible graphic design visualisation tool. Findings will inform a future pilot examining clinical use of the tool and its impacts on adults with MS.
