We are applying for the $10,000 grant to support our hapū-led initiative Ki A Ora which is aimed at transforming health outcomes for our hapū members of Te Mahurehure and to tautoko other hapū in the Kaihu and Whangaroa areas who we have had initial discussions with. This funding will enable us to facilitate hui and wānanga, which are essential planning meetings, with hapū members and all stakeholders. These gatherings will be facilitated with a Kaupapa Māori approach and use participatory feedback methods to ensure all hapū members have the opportunity to be involved and contribute to discussions and the vision for Ki A Ora. This discourse will be used to develop a strong application for the 2025 Ngā Kanohi Kitea Community Advancement Grants where we will apply for project funding as a hapū.
