Lay summary
This project aims to create a research agenda to indigenise health economics. A broad literature review will first identify literature on health and wellbeing, and value with a te ao Māori lens which will be contrasted with traditional (Western) constructs used in (health) economics. Interviews with academics and stakeholders will then identify any additional gaps and contrasting views. A set of research questions will then be prioritised using a modified Delphi technique. The main output from this project will be foundational knowledge and a co-created research agenda for a large programme of research to indigenise health economics. The project will establish collaborations between universities and build capacity in health economics.
