Lay summary
This project addresses the urgent need for integrative support services tailored to young Asian sexual violence survivors. The proposed study engages and consults with stakeholders from sexual violence support services to foster collaboration in designing and developing a study for a strategic model for enhanced health service delivery, specifically tailored to provide integrative support for young sexual violence survivors in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our study aims to gather data to identify the conditions, current working models, complications, and challenges faced by service providers in supporting young Asian survivors. Moving forward, we will consult with stakeholders, establish a cultural advice committee, and form an interdisciplinary research team to develop objectives and strategies for implementing the strategic model. By fostering collaboration and incorporating diverse perspectives, the findings will inform a project grant application to develop “integrative support for young Asian sexual violence survivors: A strategic model for enhanced health service delivery”.
