Research Partnerships for New Zealand Health Delivery 2013

Issue date:

20 September 2012

Request for Proposals | Pre-notification

The Health Research Council of New Zealand (HRC) established the Research Partnerships for New Zealand Health Delivery (RPNZHD) initiative to provide an evidence base to inform practice or system change and improvement, and support decision making in the area of health delivery. The next round of funding for this initiative will be outlined in the form of a Request for Proposals (RFP), which will be released on Wednesday, 10 October 2012. This initiative will involve a two-stage application process.

A unique feature of the RPNZHD is the requirement for researchers to work in collaboration with health delivery decision makers, and for these decision makers to be involved throughout the research process increasing the likelihood for effective knowledge transfer. The organisation to which the decision maker belongs is also required to make a minimum contribution (financial or in-kind) towards the research costs.

The RPNZHD initiative is aligned to the health delivery investment stream in the HRC’s Annual Funding Round; however, the RPNZHD has a distinct profile, separate budget and shorter funding term.

Further details on the timeframes and funding available for this initiative will be included in the RFP. If you have any questions about the RPNZHD initiative or if you would like to be added to the RPNZHD email update list, please contact Luke Garland, Project Coordinator, DDI: (09) 303 5214.
