University of Auckland Associate Professor Chris Bullen recently talked with Radio New Zealand 'Our Changing World' reporter Ruth Beran about the effectiveness of e-cigarettes for helping smokers' quit. In the interview, Associate Professor Bullen discusses the results from a randomised controlled trial called the ASCEND study, funded by the HRC, which looks at the effectiveness of e-cigarettes as a tool to quit smoking. The study was completed in mid 2013 and took three years to get underway, with about 660 participants recruited from Auckland.
