The HRC is seeking applications from New Zealand-based researchers who have demonstrated collaborations and linkages with US-based researchers, with a specific focus on the determinants and prevention of childhood obesity.
Through a Call for Proposals document, the HRC is providing enabling grants to support the development of linkages between New Zealand researchers and US-based collaborators.
Applications must involve a genuine collaboration with at least one US-based research team. To be successful, the proposed collaboration should be additional to the researchers’ or research organisations’ current activities, and have joint input from both the New Zealand and the US-based team. Funding through this initiative is for collaborative activity, not for research projects or programmes.
This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment’s Catalyst Fund, which supports activities that initiate, develop and foster collaborations leveraging international science and innovation for New Zealand’s benefit.
The Call for Proposals and all associated documentation for this initiative will be released on the HRC website and on the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) on 3 October 2016.
Further details on the scope of this funding opportunity and the funding available will be included in the Call for Proposals document.
