The HRC's IT team have been hard at work over the past 10 months developing a new online submission system called HRC Gateway to replace the current version (commonly known as EASY), which has been in place since 2005.
The new system will feature improved screen navigation and layout, functionality for assessing committee members and referees, and a personal profile section to allow investigators to make changes to their profile directly from the online portal. Investigators who are applying for HRC funding for the first time will also now be able to pre-register on HRC Gateway before they apply (existing online submission system users don't need to worry about this step). This will improve our internal processes when communicating with investigators and allow them to keep their profiles up to date.
The HRC's IT team have now progressed from the development phase to the testing phase. They expect the new online submission system will open in early April 2014 to allow first-time investigators to pre-register well before the 2015 annual funding round opens in June.
