With the completion of the Expression of Interest stage of Projects for the current funding round, applicants that were invited to submit applications in the New Zealand Health Delivery Research Investment Stream were invited to take part in a video workshop on Friday, 3 October 2014.
The purpose of the workshop was to provide advice and insight on improving the quality of applications, particularly to meet the specific goals of the research investment signals.
Presenters were Dr Vernon Choy (HRC Investment Processes Manager) and Professor Kathryn McPherson (Professor of Rehabilitation, AUT University; past Public Health Research Committee member, past chair of the Health Delivery Assessing Committee; HRC-funded researcher).
Most of the applicants or their research office support took part in the workshop, which included time for questions and answers using the meeting chat line.
The HRC plans further workshops using this media in the future.
