The media releases below announce the HRC's 2012 funding investment into issues that impact most heavily on the health of New Zealanders.
These include research into new approaches in cardiovascular disease and cancer, which are New Zealand's top-two killers; research which will tackle obesity and diabetes in New Zealand; vital District Health Board research for critically ill patients; new research in the war on infectious diseases; and research into the life-long consequensces for the 8,000 New Zealanders each year who are born small, due to restricted growth in the womb or premature birth.
