Call for joint transnational research proposals: Biomarkers for nutrition and health
The Joint Programming Initiative “A Healthy Diet for a Healthy Life” (JPI HDHL) has been established to coordinate research in the areas of food, diet, physical activity, and health to achieve tangible societal and health impact and to strengthen European leadership and competitiveness in this field.
This co-funded call is the first joint funding action in the frame of the ERA-NET Cofund instrument (named ERA-HDHL). It is a joint transnational call, co-funded with the European Commission (EC), for the “Development and validation of biomarkers for nutrition and health, including nutritional intake, nutritional status, physical activity-related health, diet-related health, and risk of developing diet-related diseases”. It will be launched on 16 February 2016.
Although New Zealand funding agencies are not part of the consortium, it is still possible for New Zealand researchers to participate in this co-funded call. For more information, check out the pre-annoucement call, go to www.healthydietforhealthylife.eu or contact Bruce McCallum, Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment, New Zealand Mission to the European Union.
