Lay summary
Over sixty narratives have been gathered from whanau and health providers that detail whanau experiences of infertility. Thematic analyses of these narratives highlighted several stories that describe a range of experiences and knowledge in relation to traditional and contemporary engagement with fertility and infertility. The purpose of this Grant-In-Aid is to fund the development and publishing of a narrative book for dissemination within the community and health providers/researchers as there is a lack of resources available in this field for Maori. These stories describe the different paths whanau have taken when starting a family of their own.
