Lay summary
The kisspeptin neurons of the brain are essential for normal puberty and fertility in humans. Using transgenic technologies, we will generate new experimental approaches that will allow us to investigate the properties of the kisspeptin neurons in the brain and how they function to control fertility. These studies are essential to allow the design of new therapies aimed at treating infertile couples, providing safer contraceptive measures, and managing puberty disorders in children.
