Lay summary
The Grant will be used for a final dissemination hui at Awataha Marae. I was first approached to conduct this research by Awataha kuia, Rangitiinia Wilson. The request was that I write a history of the development of the marae from the early 1960s so that the information wouldn't be lost, and would be available for future generations. To that end I wrote one of the chapters in such a way that it could be removed from the dissertation and published seperately, for their purposes. The Grant would therefore be used for the hui and publication of the historical book.
