Tangata-centred Huntington's disease research: Partnership between Indigenous community and biomedical science

This study will: • Investigate the incidences of HD amongst Maori and the general population • Investigate the underlying cause of specific patterns of brain cell death in the human brain with Huntington's disease • Develop a model of partnership between Maori/Indigenous community and biomedical scientists/clinicians by exploring the values and practices that underline mutually beneficial partnerships between these two groups
