The first aim of this research is to collate information around the traditional healing practices/medical intervention for the treatment of whanau not being able to conceive naturally. The research also aims to identify different types of Rongoa Maori/Western Interventions being utilised in the treatment of PCOS. The research further aims to identify the effects A Wairua, A Whatumanawa, A Hinengaro, A Tinana on Maori Whanau with PCOS. Finally, this research will encourage further research to provide a broader view of the short and long term effects for whanau Maori on whakapapa.
