Lay summary
This research focuses on how individuals and their primary informal care-givers cope with the lived reality of multiple sclerosis. These pairs will be interviewed separately using a semi-structured schedule, to try and gain an understanding into how each perceives and copes with the challenges MS brings. The data will be analysed using a qualitative approach to produce rich meaningful data about how the participants find meaning and develop adaptive coping mechanisms in the face of uncertainty.
