Te Ara Tika: Guidelines for Maori Research Ethics' was recently released as an appendix to the Guidelines on Health Research with Maori. The intention of this document is to inform researchers and ethics committee members about Maori research ethics and provide a framework within which they can consider these issues during research and ethics committee deliberations. Training is required to support the use of this document by researchers and ethics comittee members. This Grant-in-Aid will meet the expenses associated with holding training sessions in the 5 main centres (Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin) and will be delivered by the writers of the document (Maui Hudson, Moe Milne, Paul Reynolds, Khyla Russell, Barry Smith).
