Lay summary
This research explores what is “therapeutic” according to Pacific consumers and their families, Pacific mental health practitioners and Tongan and Samoan indigenous knowledge traditions. Integrating synergistic evidence-based therapeutic approaches, the findings will be translated into an intervention for mild to moderate mental health problems, and tested for face-validity, acceptability and feasibility with stakeholders and end-users. This grant was awarded to University of Otago but was later transfered to The University of Auckland.
