General aim The aim of this project is to conduct a literature review on the perceptions and behaviour around alcohol use among Cook Island adolescents living in Auckland. Objective To identify the perceptions (opinion, attitudes, ideas, values and motivations) of adolescents that encourage or discourage them from engaging in binge drinking. To identify the social influences (peer pressure, media, alcoholic parents and siblings) that shape the alcohol-related behaviour of the adolescents.
