Our Career Development Programme is an important part of our mission to foster the health research workforce in New Zealand. The programme mainly supports health research related awards. We also manage health career awards that are not research related on behalf of the Ministry of Health. (see Pacific Awards below)

Contact your host institution's research office or the HRC to confirm closing dates and availability. These awards are competitive. We determine annually the number of HRC awards in any category, in each round. This is set out in our Investment Strategy. Tenure of any award cannot be extended beyond the prescribed maximums.
