The HRC funds research into all aspects of health and disease in order to contribute to improved health outcomes and a reduction in health inequalities for all New Zealanders. In many fields New Zealand research teams are among world leaders. Many of the health research achievements by New Zealanders were funded by the HRC. We can afford to fund less than a quarter of the worthy applications received at the HRC each year using government funding alone.

You can help us improve the health of New Zealanders by making a donation now or making a bequest to the HRC in your Will.
We offer opportunities to sponsor:
- general health research
- career development awards, which can be named after the donor
- particular research projects
- research conferences or summer studentships.
